# Sensitive Data

Sensitive data classification lets you label fields that carry sensitive or regulated data — such as personal information — and track those fields as they flow across services and data stores. Combined with end-to-end lineage, classifications make it possible to answer where regulated data originates, what computes it, and which downstream systems consume it.
